Introduction

Now for the dirty work,

First thing is first, The world let alone the universe is so much bigger than any of your problems or thoughts. Do I demand you have respect for it? No, since when was that my place of judgement? There are billions of things in the world that you will never see before you die. These things regardless of how great you think you are can bring any man (or woman) to their knees.

There are over 250 different genre of poison dart frogs in the world and that is not including the species. They can have every color in the spectrum from red, to white, to black, to green, to blue, to purple, to gold, and all of these are just a few and most are combined onto one frog. The batrachotoxins of the phyllobates genre of dart frog is so lethal that the amount of toxin that is the equivalent to the size of a grain of table salt can kill 10 people. That is a fraction of the amount all contained in a frog that is under 2 inches long. When this poison is applied to a full grown jaguar it dies in under 15 seconds.

40% of the literally billions of species in the world of all organisms is still undiscovered. I gurantee you did not know that over 66 plant and animal species were discovered last week. Among those is a bright pink 6 inch long spiked millipede whose skin is filled with cyanide, and a rainbow colored rabbit. In that same week a species of golden toad has gone extinct along with the name of its discoverer.

Now take a second to comprehend this, and I mean really do it. What is your biggest problem? You are worried about paying bills for the next month for example. This species of frog that has been around for thousands of years has watched every one of its kind die off and all the work they have done to survive was for nothing. That is like pissing away every dime of your fathers inheritance on a bomb to blow up new York. Now I could give you a guilt trip about how it was deforestation by us that caused this but that’s not what I am trying to prove. I just want you think for a second that there is much more to life than us.

There are over a thousand different kind of apples in the world and there are 5 kinds in your grocery store. There are 50 different kind of bananas in the world with some that taste like vanilla ice cream and there are 3 in your grocery store. There are catfish that have weighed 300 pounds with a length of 6 feet, there are trees that have gotten to 300 feet tall and 45 feet in diameter. There are trees that have been around since Jesus set foot on the earth and some over 10,000 years ago and they are still alive today. There are places where lilly pads are 6 feet across and flowers are bigger than your body. There are spiders that are bigger than your face and there monkeys as big as your thumbs. There are frogs that can sit on the head of an eraser and there are whales that go past 100 feet long. Migratory birds have been known to have pieces of magnetite (the mineral used in magnets.) naturally in their brains that act as a compass for their migration. This has been proven and I would like anyone to prove how this evolved because I am stumped on this one. There are yellow, green, and pink lakes and lakes that occur at the bottom of the ocean that litteraly ripple when you touch them. There are cactuses that have gotten to over 100 feet tall and there are fishes at the bottom of the ocean that could rival aliens.

All this and I haven’t even gone down to the microscopic level. A simple human cell has more netting of connecting protein fibers than blades of grass in a field. A cell has almost as much organ structures than the human body itself. Some of those structures like the chloroplast and mitochondria have their own D.N.A symbolizing that they were serperate organisms that combined with our modern cell. A cell can selectively allow thousands of different molecules into it and just as many out. The cellular level of life is so complex that volumes upon volumes of textbooks have been written on it and it still is not as much information as whats contained in a single strand of D.N.A.

But what does all this mean? Is it intelligent design? Intelligent design is just the marvel of all these things and not answering because of it. Is it a guilt trip? Hell no! Is it a reason to continue to create and explore? Yes. But it is also a realization that nothing you can do or feel can be bigger than the earth or the universe itself.

*Time for a Christian bashing: So I am so sick of this Christian mentality that humans are the most divine thing to come onto this earth. All the bible said is that we were made in his image. But what is that supposed to mean if we are not as powerful as him? Or as wise? God is depicted as this being that can utterly dominate us but yet we were made in his image.

I am sick of this Christian mentality that we have a soul, that label is way too deceiving. Does someone in a coma have a soul? Does someone that has gotten a lobotomy have a soul? What is a soul to us but what we see in someone. What is a soul but something that we just have a “sense” for?

I am sick of this Christian mentality that drugs are bad. The only reference to this is to not do anything that obstructs the view of god. Last time I checked that was most peoples way that they found god.

The last thing I would say on this is how am I supposed to know that even if there is an intelligent designer out there, how do these Christians know that they were seeing this perticualr god? How do we know it wasn’t budha?

So my disclaimer is that I am going to asking every question that is plagueing me no matter what and that everyone should keep in mind that the world is so much bigger than us and is something that must be experienced to appreciate fully.
